Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain secure applications and solutions using Java and the MERN stack, adhering to BFSI industry standards Architect RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end applications for seamless customer experiences Collaborate with product, design, and compliance teams to meet stringent security and regulatory requirements Optimize application performance to ensure high availability and scalability within a financial services environment Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance to enhance team capabilities Participate in code reviews and continuously improve the codebase for maintainability and security Stay informed about the latest in BFSI technologies, security protocols, and industry best practices Required Skills & Experience: Experience: 7+ years in software development with expertise in Java; 3+ years in MERN stack development Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with BFSI industry standards, security requirements, and compliance protocols (e.g., PCI-DSS, AML, KYC) Languages: Proficient in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 Frameworks & Libraries: Experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, Spring Boot (or similar Java frameworks) Database Skills: Proficiency with MongoDB, SQL, and experience with secure data handling and encryption Front-End Development: Strong understanding of React.js for building responsive and accessible user interfaces APIs & Microservices: Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and JSON; familiarity with financial APIs is a plus Version Control: Strong proficiency with Git and best practices in version control workflows Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines; experience in secure DevOps practices for financial services is a plus Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong analytical skills and experience with financial or transactional systems Excellent communication skills, with experience in agile and cross-functional teams Prior experience leading development projects in BFSI, especially in banking or insurance
